It amazes me when individuals take the workshop content and find ways to apply it within their own style to achieve fantastic results. One individual left the workshop on Thursday and then sold over £28,000 in three days half of which was paid in full at the time of order. Another individual, who had been struggling with his sales targets reported selling straight after the course. Today I worked with 10 leaders to establish a set of tools that they will use when coaching their team members to peak performance. In identifying individual coaching styles my team found themselves clearly identifying the differences betwen managing, instructing and coaching and were all inspired to create an environment of guided discovery for their team members to find each individuals 'best ways' to be successful. As a coach, I favour the GROW model as a framework for my own thinking and as a way of getting a coachee to focus on their development and outcomes. We agreed that "if people dont say the words then they wont do the activity" ending our session motivated and enthused with personal commitments that we will each do before reviewing progress along personal development paths in 3 months time.

Its not just what you say ......

12th May, Solihull, UK
In this session I worked with a number of tele-appointing agents exploring the effects of tonality, vocal characteristics and the subliminal messaging behind certain words, phrases and patterns. They had just completed a fulls days commercial training and another day testing themselves and each other through recorded role play. Now the difficulty that they had found was that 'whatever the thinker thinks, the prover proves'! And several of them thinking that their client interaction was letting their sales performance down found this was proven. A famous 'Self Fulfilling Prophesy'.
So the challenge became one of self belief and through taking control of their own neurology and gaining a different perception of their future the energy grew, heads became higher, and 8 highly motivated individuals went out into the world fully committed to embed the insights of the previous two days into their daily routine to benefit their customers as well as themselves.

Irish Hearing Society - Genesis

Saturday 21st March 2009 - today some 30 or so professional hearing healthcare professionals from across the four corners of Ireland embarked on a firther stage of their professional development through the Genesis, Introduction to NLP, workshop. As part of a continuing professional development (CPD) event, NLP Master Practitioner, David Rist guided the group through the fundamentals of NLP including The Milton Model, The Meta Model, Running your own Neurology and Sleight of Mouth Linguistic Patterns. Immediate participant feedback on the day suggested that everyone found something to takeaway and use within the context of their professional roles. This prompted the arranging of this 2-day programme, spread over 3 days with an opportunity to have time in the tranquil town of Buxton in Derbyshire.

While the claims were bold, change your life in 3 days, for 6 people nothing could have prepared them for what they experienced.

The programme can not be explained but the results can give an idea of how this programme could help you. Here is some feedback taken directly from the participants testimonials as featured on the my-development.co.uk web site.

“The small things in my life have sometimes held me back; this course makes you see If you always do what you’ve always done, You’ll always get what you’ve always got.. It’s the small steps that sometimes can become giant Leaps..” Anon - Feb 2009.

"I’ve been feeling fantastic since I arrived home; thank you very much for bringing out the more “positive” in me.

“For the first time in my life, I genuinely feel at peace with myself and not plagued with low self-esteem and crippling self doubt. David’s course is essential for anyone wanting to get on with their life and stop being held back by insecurities or a lack of confidence which they thought would never leave them.”

“ I was really keen to change something in my life to be a “better person” I was unsure how this was going to happen. After 3 days I can honestly state that I am a different perosn, just don’t ask me to explain how this has happened. I am more peaceful with things in my life and have been able to let things go which is all good. I would recommend anyone to go and have this life changing experience – you will not be disappointed.”

“This course/programme was a total unknown for me, I had an idea of what I personally wanted to get out of the time spent but I was totally unsure and a little skeptical to say the least as to whether what I wanted, would actually be achievable. I was sure of only one thing, that if David’s claims were true and he really could change my life in three days then I wanted to be totally open minded to this and I wanted to give ‘him/it/the course’ every opportunity to work. I left three emotional days later, not completing a course but embarking on a very different journey, the destination of which is still not completely carved in stone but the beginning of the route is certainly now far more organized, timed and very much mapped out”.

Register for the next life changing programme by email to David Rist at
david@my-development.co.uk

Team Leaders Make Quantum Leaps in Development

The Hidden Hearing National Team Leader Seminar (October 2008) was attended by 49 team leaders and managers each interested in developing thier advanced communication and rapport building skills to enhance their roles as managers and dispensers.

The Workshop subtitled QED (Quantum Executive Development) aimed to build exquisite communication skills through modelling and by using elements of NLP. Co-presented by David Rist, Master NLP Practitioner and Guy Wolstencroft RHAD and Practitioner of NLP, the content build on David's concept of The Chameleon Effect and culminated with each participant committing to take 10 ideas from QED and implement them within their role.

Feedback from the workshop included:

I wanted to thank you both for the two days, which I found stimulating in the main and always thought provoking and if I were to run days that is the outcome that I would hope to achieve. It is clear a lot of time and effort goes into these days and I hope that the reaction/responses you get from those participating make it worthwhile- and certainly from myself (and the east attendee’s) it is a huge thumbs up and sincere gratitude all round. Part of the role includes managing a client's or patient's rehabilitation plan which is itself a life change.

It is my assertion that several of the fundamental principles of NLP can be employed by the healthcare professional to facilitate positive personal change helping the patient or client achieve full benefit from the hearing solution provided, and more efficiently than if left to flounder. In my opinion, clients and patients are more likely to reject the solution if they struggle to integrate the personal change into their lifestyle and for this reason I am especially pleased that deMontfort University have chosen to include my lecture as part of thier programme.

The lecture is supported by a practical session in which students will role play the use of the Meta-Model building it in to a planned rehabilitation consultation.

Lecture Objective: By the end of the lecture students will be able to describe the emotional effect of change on people and begin to formulate strategies to coach and counsel clients through the process of change as part of a wider client or patient rehabilitation plan.

The lecture covers:
1. Gap Analysis
2. Individual Reactions to Change
3. The Link Between Belief and Communication
4. Reactions to Change
5. The course leader recently reported that these are the "nicest and most relaxed group" that he has taught for a long time. I have to acknowledge John LaValle as my inspiration for the 'Happy Juice' session.

So, come and join a workshop, you'll be made most welcome - meanwhile if you have already attended then tell us all your experiences.

Genesis 2007 On The Road

It's really great for me to be able to present the Genesis Introduction to NLP seminar to an 'open group' and to be able to expand my own development by interacting with the workshop participants each with their own ideas, views and experiences.

I really hope that the participants from the Birmingham Workshop on February 10th take a few moments to post their comments and for this to become a forum for healthy exchange and a place where we can all develop from each others experiences.

Please tell us about your experiences after the workshop.
